Running RDS using DOSBOX

Step-by-step instructions for the installation and use of DOSBOX for running RDS are listed below.
  1. On your desktop or using Windows Explorer, set up a new folder for DOSBox (C:\ DOSBOX is suggested)

  3. Go to Downloads at the top of the page, select the Win32 installer.
  4. Download DOSBox to the desktop folder you created, then install it. It should put a shortcut to DOSBox on your desktop. If not, make one yourself.
  5. Double click on the DOSBox shortcut on your desktop
  6. This will bring up a DOS window with a DOS prompt Z:>
  7. Type MOUNT C C:\RDS and Press ENTER
  8. Should say `Drive C is mounted as local directory C:\RDS'
  9. Type C: and Press ENTER (You are now in the C:\RDS directory)
  10. Type RDS and Press ENTER
  11. RDS will come up in a Window. Press ALT-ENTER to toggle to a full-screen Window
