Dan Raymer's popular 5-day Aircraft Design Short Course covers the whole field of aircraft design from definition of requirements and initial layout, to analysis, optimization, and trade studies. The class serves both as an overview introduction to the aircraft development process and as a practical "how-to" for those working in design. COURSE MATERIAL & SCHEDULE

The class will be conducted from 8:00am to about 5pm each day. Participants will receive a full set of bound Lecture Notes, a copy of Dr. Raymer's best-selling textbook, "Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach,", and a signed completion certificate suitable for framing.

HOTEL & TRANSPORTATION

The class is being presented at the Spark/Hilton Hotel, in Bluffton SC. One of the fastest growing municipalities in South Carolina, riverfront Bluffton is designated a National Historic District with numerous beautiful buildings and trendy restaurants in the delightful town square. Bluffton is served by Hilton Head Airport (HHH ~15 minutes away), Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV ~30 min.), and Charleston International Airport (CHS ~100 min.). Taxi service is readily available costing roughly $50 from HHH and $75 from SAV.

A block of rooms with substantial discount is being held until 30 days prior – mention ‘Aircraft Design Course.’ Other nearby hotels include the Old Town Bluffton Inn, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, and the Hilton Garden Inn. Of course, 15 minutes away is vacation paradise Hilton Head Island where you’ll find the Westin Marriott and numerous other resorts – but don’t tell the boss.

REGISTRATION & COURSE FEES

The course fee of $2,980 includes tuition, lecture notes, and textbook. Sorry, no AIAA or SAE discounts apply. If your organization's payment procedures require additional effort by CRC to obtain payment, such as reviewing and signing a Purchase Order and/or registering in your financial payment system, a $400 processing fee must be added.

Cancellations Policy: Cancellations must be emailed no later than 32 days before the start of the course and are subject to a $100 cancellation fee plus deduction for non-recoverable PayPal fees. Conceptual Research Corporation reserves the right to cancel any class up to 31 days before the scheduled start date and accepts no liability for expenses incurred due to that cancellation, including but not limited to purchase of non-refundable airline tickets. In this unlikely event, those registered will be notified immediately and a full refund will be issued. Should a severe medical or personal emergency prevent Dr. Raymer from personally conducting all or part of this short course, it will be cancelled if determined prior to 31 days before the scheduled start date or if after, a highly-qualified substitute lecturer will present Dr. Raymer's material. This has never happened and it isn't expected to happen this time!
